Paragraph No.5 of the present writ petition reads as under:- "That the Petitioner filed the appeal against the order dated 13.05.2024 vide application no.- (APLCHD5036125) File no.CHD070621018025 against the impound decision, that Petitioner passport be released at the earliest but till today no action has been taken on appeal, as its continued impounding violates fundamental rights to travel because Petitioner never did anything wrong but till today no action has been taken by the respondents. Copy of the Appeal dated 01.06.2025 and fee Receipt dated 30.05.2025 Attached herewith as Annexure P-4 and P-5."

At this stage, Mr. Karan Kumar Jund, Senior Panel Counsel, appears on behalf of the respondents, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him. He submits that in case, the appeal, as referred to by the petitioner in paragraph No.5 of the instant writ petition, is pending before the Appellate Authority, the same shall be considered and finally decided by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition is disposed of, accordingly.
