**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner is that he was entitled for the grant of regular pay-scales w.e.f. 01.01.1988 instead of 01.01.1996 keeping in view the policy dated 08.02.1988 (Annexure P-2).

Counsel for the petitioner relies upon a decision passed by this Court in CWP No.419 of 1998 titled as 'Kamlesh Rani Vs. The Haryana State Electricity Board, Panchkula and others', decided on 30.01.2001 to contend that the similarly situated employees, like the petitioner, who are also allocated to Haryana Vidyut Parsaran Nigam Limited, were regularized w.e.f. 01.01.1988.

CWP-14785-2019 -2respondents with a legal notice dated 19.07.2018 (Annexure P-6), which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the said legal notice. Notice of motion.

Keeping in view the advance copy given to the respondents, Mr. Charanjit Singh Bakhshi, Additional Advocate General, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and he states that the respondents have no objection in case the prayer of the petitioner for deciding the legal notice dated 19.07.2018 (Annexure P-6) in a time bound manner is accepted.

In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the legal notice dated 19.07.2018 (Annexure P-6) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
