ANIL KSHETARPAL, J(Oral) This is the petitioner's 5th attempt to get bail during the pendency of the trial arising from the case FIR No.82, dated 30.06.2019, registered under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, at Police Station Bhikhi, District Mansa, Haryana. As per the case of the prosecution, 4500 tablets containing prohibited substances specified in the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, were recovered from the petitioner. The learned counsel representing the petitioner contends that the petitioner has already suffered incarceration for a period of more than a three years.
On the other hand, the learned counsel representing the State of Punjab on instructions from ASI Mewa Singh, has submitted that the deposition of five prosecution witnesses out of the total eleven witnesses are proposed to be examined, and it has already been recorded. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to grant concession of the bail.
