* * * AWARD OF LOK ADALAT BENCH NO.5 On dated 16.10.2024, learned counsel for the appellants submitted a proposal for Rs.2,30,000/- over and above the amount already awarded by the learned Tribunal. There is joint liability of Oriental Ins. Company and New India Assurance Company. Oriental Insurance Company has already signed the consent and agreed to pay 50% of total enhanced amount i.e.1,15,000/-. Today, learned counsel for the New India Assurance Company has signed the consent form and agreed to pay 50% of total enhanced amount i.e. 1,15,000/-.

The appeal stands settled at Rs.2,30,000/- over and above the amount already awarded by the learned Tribunal in terms of proposal form duly signed by both the parties. Accordingly, this award is made with the direction to the Insurance Companies to deposit the enhanced amount of Neelam Kumari 2024.10.28 10:11 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

FAO-2937-2007 -2Rs.2,30,000/- (Rupees two Lacs and Thirty Thousand Only) by respondent No.2 and respondent No.5 i.e. 1,15,000/- each by cheque/draft, in favour of appellant-Sewa Singh with the Office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before 20.12.2024. Failing compliance of the order, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order. The appellant's counsel may collect the cheque/draft from the office of the Lok Adalat. The office shall retain the photocopies of the cheque/draft bearing signatures of the Counsel. Appeal stands disposed of in terms of the settlement. Copy of this order be supplied/sent to the ounsel/parties and file be consigned to the record room.
