Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioners. 2.
Learned counsel submits that the petitioners have been working as Drivers on daily wages in the Punjab Forest Department and rendered service of more than 10 years. Reliance was placed on the judgment passed by this Court in Amrish Sharma and others vs. State of Punjab and others, CWP-19238-2013, decided on 26.02.2024, wherein LPA-2032-2024 had been preferred by the State of Punjab, which alongwith a batch of petitions has now been dismissed on 16.05.2025. He, thus, on instructions, prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to examine the claim of the petitioners in terms of the policy as well as the judgment in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection. 3.
In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the claim of the petitioners, taking note of the aforesaid judgment, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no HAMANT 2025.07.10 20:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-12515-2025 reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith.
