In the present petition, the grievance raised by the petitioner is with regard to the direction given to the petitioner to work as a Booth Level Officer in the State Legislative Constituency 14-Jandiala, District Amritsar, Punjab on the ground that the same is contrary to the Instructions issued by the Election Commission of India.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already sent representation dated 06.01.2026 which is still pending with the respondents and the petitioner would be satisfied in case a time-bound direction be given to the respondents to decide the same.

Learned counsel further submits that in case, it is found feasible to accept the claim of the petitioner, the same will be accepted, otherwise due reasons will be mentioned for not accepting the claim of the petitioner in the speaking order to be passed and the said order will be duly conveyed to the petitioner. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondent-State, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 6.
