Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. M.S. Nagra, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner has filed representation dated 15.07.2021 (Annexures P-2) before the Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar, Mohali, for the redressal of his claim.
