Mr. K.S. Pannu, DAG, Punjab *** Amol Rattan Singh, J. (Oral) By this petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C, the petitioner seeks the concession of 'regular bail'.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a similarly placed co-accused of the petitioner, i.e. Sunny @ Kawalveer, has already been admitted to bail by this Court vide its order dated 27.02.2017, passed in CRM-M-44780 of 2016.

Other than the fact that the petitioner is not married, the circumstances are the same in the present case, i.e. the petitioner was not the person who was actually stated to be committing the offence on the date of its reporting, which was allegedly committed by one Kaka. He further submits that yet another co-accused of the petitioner has been admitted to bail by this Court.

Considering the aforesaid position, which is factually not denied by the learned State counsel, I deem it appropriate to allow the

present petition.

Consequently, the petitioner would be enlarged on bail, upon his furnishing adequate bail and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
