The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.129 dated 13.7.2020 at Police Station Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda under Sections 406 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion the following order was passed on 9.9.2020:
"The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that a false FIR has been lodged on account of some political rivalries as the petitioner happens to be nominated as a Member of Market Committee vide letter PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.01.21 19:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-26834-2020 (O&M) dated 23.6.2020 (Annexure P-3). It has further been submitted that although the allegations are to the effect that the complainant and his friends handed over three trucks to the petitioner and co-accused for the purpose of plying the same and to pay the installments out of the proceeds received by plying the said trucks but the falsity of the said allegations would be evident from the fact that no such document or any agreement was ever prepared in respect of handing over the said trucks, the value of which might be about `20 lakhs each approximately.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C." 3.
The learned State counsel, upon instructions from HC Gurwinder Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court, the petitioner has since joined investigation and that his custodial interrogation is not required.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 9.9.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
