 The present petition has been filed under Section 528, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, to quash/ modify the order dated 06.03.2025 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur in case FIR No.127 dated 12.10.2021 under Sections 436, 427, 506 IPC, 1860 registered at Police Station Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur whereby the petitioner has been directed to furnish bank guarantee of Rs.8 lakhs while according permission to visit abroad till 29.05.2025.  2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that vide order dated 06.03.2025 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, the petitioner has been directed to furnish bank guarantee of Rs.8 lakhs while obtaining permission to go abroad. He further contends he has already given similar guarantee in other cases pending against him. He further contends that the petitioner, being a citizen of United Kingdom (U.K.) is a beneficiary of free health service granted to the Sonia Puri 2025.05.06 18:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Keeping in view the totality of the facts and circumstances of the present case, the present petition is disposed of and the concerned Court is directed to reconsider the case of the petitioner and to accept alternate surety, instead of bank guarantee, in accordance with law. Since vide impugned order, the petitioner was granted permission to visit United Kingdom till 29.05.2025 and considerable time has elapsed, therefore, on a prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the time to visit United Kingdom is extended till 29.08.2024 on the same terms and conditions vide impugned order dated 06.03.2025 passed by the Court concerned.  03rd May, 2025 (H.S.
