Reply dated 14.05.2026 by way of an affidavit of Sukhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dharamkot, District Moga has been filed on behalf of respondent-State by the learned State counsel and the same is taken on record. 2.

As the alleged detnue namely Lovepreet Singh, son of the petitioner, has been arrested in FIR No.87 dated 23.04.2026 under Section 22 NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Dharamkot, the present petition seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus at the instance of the mother of Lovepreet Singh has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such.
