The petitioners pray for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to correct the entry in the revenue record.
It is the case of the petitioners that the respondents sought to acquire 11 biswas of land belonging to them. They filed a writ petition (CWP No.11079 of 1988) which was allowed by the Lok Adalat on 09.01.2001. The petitioners claim that in spite of the aforesaid order, the entry in the revenue record continues to show that the property belongs to Market Committee whereas, the entry is required to be corrected in favour of the petitioners. Mr. Samarth Sagar, Addl. AG, Haryana, enters appearance for respondents and submits that an opportunity be granted to decide the representation forwarded on 15.04.2021. CWP-15546-2021 (O&M) representation will be decided by the Collector, Panipat, within a period of one month.
Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, it is considered appropriate to permit the Collector to decide the claim made in the representation within the aforesaid period. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Collector to decide the claim within the stipulated period, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
