The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.240 dated 15.8.2020 registered under Sections 498-A, 406, 307, 323 and 149 IPC at Police Station City Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib. By virtue of the order dated 22.9.2020, while granting interim protection, the petitioners were directed to join investigation. It has been contended by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners have joined the investigation and fully cooperated and thus, the interim order may kindly be made absolute. Learned counsel for the complainant has vehemently opposed the prayer of the petitioners for grant of anticipatory bail.
