(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners, who had been appointed as Peons or Helpers with respondent No.2-Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, (Deemed University), Longowal, Tehsil & District Sangrur, Punjab during the years 1991-1999 were brought on the cadre of Multi tasking Staff in the year 2011 when the Board of Management of respondent No.2 designated a common cadre for Group-D employees. The learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners somehow are not being considered for promotion as Technician although, all of them except petitioner No.3, possessed requisite qualification of ITI. It has been submitted that the petitioners had submitted various representations in the shape of Annexures P-4 to P-11 but to no avail.

( 2 ) CWP-13779-2020 (O&M) Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, (Deemed University), Longowal, Tehsil & District Sangrur, Punjab to look into the matter and to dispose of the representations (Annexure P-4 to P-11) in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of 2 months from today. In case, the representations are accepted, then it be ensured that the seniority of the petitioners viz-a-viz other promotees is duly maintained.
