One of the substantive prayers of the petitioners in the present case is for execution of the orders dated 14.08.2020 and 20.11.2020 (Annexure P-3), passed by the National Green Tribunal, New Delhi (for short, 'NGT, New Delhi) in O.A. No. 159 of 2020.

The National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 (for short, 'the Act of 2010") is a complete code in itself and, inter alia, provides a mechanism for execution of the orders passed by the NGT u/s 25 of the Act of 2010. 3.

However, learned counsel for petitioner submits that apart from the execution of the aforesaid orders, petitioners have also sought fixation of responsibility upon the functionaries of the State, who are allegedly indulging in illegal mining activities and permitting the establishment of stone crushers/screening plants in violation of statutory provisions. 4.

In view of above and considering that the matter pertains to the field of environment, this Court declines to interfere on merits and relegates the KAMAL GANDHI 2026.04.07 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-12273-2023 petitioners to avail the remedy available u/s 25 of the Act of 2010 for execution of the orders passed by the NGT.

Insofar as the prayer regarding fixation of responsibility upon the concerned government officials is concerned, petitioners shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies available under the applicable penal law. 6.

With aforesaid liberty, present petition stands disposed of, without commenting upon the merits of the case.
