Petitioner has impugned the award dated 27.02.2012 passed by Industrial Tribunal, Jalandhar. The issue that arose before the tribunal was whether workman had left the job after full and final settlement of the claim and what relief he was entitled to. Tribunal came to the conclusion that workman has left the job on 30.04.2000 after receiving his dues. During the proceedings, efforts were made for conciliation between the parties. However, same proved futile. Thus, tribunal instead of reinstating the workman awarded him compensation of `12,000/- alongwith 8% interest w.e.f. 01.05.2000 till date of payment. Limited question raised before this court is regarding inadequacy of the compensation. This court finds substance in the plea.
In view of above, petition is disposed of. RespondentManagement would be liable to pay `1.00 lac as lump sum amount to the petitioner within one month from today. In case there is delay in payment, it Ajay Kumar 2018.06.03 12:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
