Despite the case having been called twice, no one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners.

By way of the present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners seek directions to respondents No.1 to 3 for protection of their lives and liberty and to safeguard them from alleged illegal and unnecessary harassment at the hands of private respondents No.4 & 5.

On the previous date of hearing, i.e., 24.04.2026, following order was passed by this Court:- "

Both the petitioners and even the private respondents are resident of State of Uttar Pradesh. Only by mentioning the address of District Mewat, instant petition has been filed.

Let the actual place of stay of the petitioners be verified.

Today, at the outset, learned State counsel informs that upon visiting the address(es) furnished in District Mewat, statements of both the petitioners were recorded, wherein they stated that there is no necessity for providing them police protection and that they are residing happily together. 5.
