$    %     is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing of the order dated 01.04.2026 (Annexure P-11), whereby the claim of the petitioner for grant of promotion to the rank of ASI w.e.f. 26.07.2024 has been declined. The petitioner has further prayed for a direction to the respondents to consider and grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of ASI w.e.f. 26.07.2024, relying upon the order dated 30.01.2025 (Annexure P-8) passed by respondent No.2, whereby the ACR of the petitioner for the period from 24.09.2018 to 20.11.2018 was directed to be treated as 'Good'.

Learned State counsel submits that respondent No.3 has issued a letter dated 31.03.2025, whereby it has been requested to respondent No.2 to withdraw the order dated 04.02.2025 passed in the mercy petition filed by the petitioner.
