The petitioner's claim for stepping up his pay has been rejected by the Principal Secretary, Department of General Administration, Punjab, by passing a speaking order.

The petitioner retired as a Special Secretary to a Minister in the year 2010. He filed a previous writ petition in which the directions were issued to decide the representation. Pursuant thereto, the impugned order has been passed.
