REKHA MITTAL J. (Oral) Counsel for the petitioner would contend that as per the allegations raised in the petition, the petitioner is being harassed by respondents No.4 to 7. The petitioner submitted representations dated 04.03.2017 to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur and the SHO, Police Station Sunam, District Sangrur seeking protection to her life and liberty but nothing has been heard from the said authorities. Without commenting anything in regard to correctness or otherwise of the allegations, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into grievance of the petitioner to the limited extent that no harm is caused to her person at the instance of private respondents.

However, nothing stated in this order shall be construed to create a restrain qua taking action against the petitioner, if she has committed any cognizable offence nor shall be treated a direction to register an FIR against the private respondents. However, the petitioner is at liberty to resort to appropriate remedy Mohd. Yakub 2017.03.
