The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.68 dated 10.8.2016 registered for the offences under Sections 406, 419, 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Sarabha Nagar, District Ludhiana.

Notice of motion has been issued in this case. Mr. Deep Singh, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested this petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab appearing for the respondent-State and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that FIR in this case has been got registered on the basis of complaint submitted by Anil Kumar. As per the Harpal Singh Parmar 2017.02.09 17:25 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-919 of 2017 [2] allegations in the FIR, the complainant and whole family were going to attend a function in their relation so his sister-in-law Amita Dhawan, collected all the gold articles of whole family approximately 35 Tollas including ladies and gents gold articles, necessary documents, registries etc. and `50,000/- cash and put the same into two bags and sent it to her friend's house, namely, Adarsh Jain wife of late Shri Dharamvir Jain. It is further case of the complainant that on 6.8.2016, his sister-in-law Amita Dhawan informed him that she received a phone call from Adarsh Jain that the articles, which were dropped by them at her home in two bags, had been taken by four persons, who were posing themselves as Income Tax Officers and she further informed that these persons had taken her `7 Lakhs in cash and her four pairs of gold `Kadas' by saying that all these articles belong to Anil Kumar alias Whisky.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, without discussing the facts in minute detail and expressing any opinion on the merit of this case, I find that the present petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, therefore, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is also made out.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
