*** Amol Rattan Singh, J. (ORAL) Pursuant to the order 17.03.2017, learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Gurtej Singh, submits that though the petitioners have joined investigation and two bags (as stated by the police official) have been recovered from them, they are admittedly not the owners of the vehicle in which the rice bags are stated to have been transported and also are not seen in the CCTV footage in which one Pala Singh is shown to be allegedly thieving the said bags.
Learned counsel for the petitioners, however, submits that coaccused, Makhan Singh, named the first petitioner as the driver of the vehicle.
After considering the above, the petitioners having joined investigation, there being no direct link evidence other than an alleged Virendra Singh Adhikari 2017.03.30 11:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
