Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent No.4 to allow the joining on the post of Fire Man in view of the selection letter dated 13.09.2010 (Annexure P-3) whereby the petitioner has been selected for the post of Fire Man and to join the office of respondent No.4 by 30.09.2010. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that the parties were relegated to mediation, which remained successful and a written settlement agreement was entered into between the parties. As such, the present petition may be disposed of in terms of the settlement agreement dated 12.02.2026.

A perusal of the Mediator's report indicates that the parties have amicably resolved their dispute vide settlement agreement dated 12.02.2026, which is available on record and marked as Flag 'A'. 4.
In view of the aforesaid settlement agreement dated 12.02.2026, no further action is called for and the present writ petition stands disposed of.
