The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of Local Rank in view of the letter/circular dated 23.01.2020 (Annexure P-7) issued by respondent No.2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.02.2020 (Annexure P-8) to respondent No.4/Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali), however, till date no action has been taken on the said representation.
