(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus in the form of directions to the respondent to the effect that no promotion of Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) in physically handicapped category be made till the representation filed at the behest of the petitioner is not decided.
Counsel for the petitioners at the outset submits that he would confine his prayer to the time bound directions to the respondents to decide the representation submitted at the behest of the petitioners dated 10th of March, 2023 placed on record as Annexure P-10. Mr. Sehaj Bir Singh, Advocate appears on advance notice on behalf of the respondent submits that the respondent shall decide the representation submitted by the petitioners within a period of four weeks. Needless to say the Court is quite sanguine that the respondentAuthorities shall grant reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners before taking view strictly in accordance with law.
