RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus direction respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, which is under imminent danger at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8. It is further prayed to direct respondent No.2 to conduct fair and transparent enquiry into case FIR No.25, dated 12.04.2023, under Sections 323, 325, 148, 149 IPC, Police Station Lambran, District Jalandhar and also for taking action on the representation dated 05.05.2023, Annexure P/4.
It has been submitted by counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner would be satisfied if his representation, dated 05.05.2023,, Annexure P-4, is decided in a time-bound manner. Notice of motion to official respondents only. On asking of the Court, Mr.Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. CRWP-5218-2023 -2After hearing counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural), Jalandhar, District Jalandhar, to look into the representation dated 05.05.2023, Annexure P-4, and decide the same in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from today.
