By way of present petition filed under Section 482 CrPC, prayer has been made for issuance of directions to the trial Court to expedite the trial arising out of FIR No.98 dated 03.07.2016 under Sections 295-A and 120-B IPC registered at P.S. Dialpura, District Bathinda titled as "State of Punjab Vs. Baljeet Singh and Ors." 2.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that based on a complaint moved at the instance of petitioner, the aforementioned FIR was registered wherein challan was presented on 03.01.2019 followed by framing of charges on 05.12.2020, however, even after the expiry of more than two years and six months, the prosecution has not been able to conclude the evidence and the trial is thus lingering on. 3.

In view of the above as well as considering the fact that the trial is pending for the last almost 4 years and six months and out of 23 witnesses only 3 have been examined-in-chief and their crossexamination is yet to be conducted, trial Court is requested to dispose of the trial expeditiously preferably within a period of six months. 6.

Disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
