The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 16.01.2026 passed by this Court in CWP-899-2026, whereby without commenting upon the merits of the case, respondent was directed to treat the writ petition as a representation of the petitioners and decide the same, in accordance with law. 2.

In compliance of the order dated 16.01.2026 passed by this Court in CWP-899-2026, learned counsel for the respondent submits that after considering the claim of the petitioner, speaking order dated 20.05.2026 has been passed by the Director, School Education (Secondary), VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.05.23 14:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-1994-2026 (O&M) -2Punjab. He has produced a copy of the said speaking order in Court, which is taken on record. A copy thereof has been given to the learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view of the above, since order dated 16.01.2026 passed by this Court in CWP-899-2026, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 4.

Needless to say that the petitioners are at liberty to avail remedy as is available to them in accordance with law to challenge the said speaking order dated 20.05.2026.
