NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J. (Oral) An application received in the Secretariat of Hon'ble the Chief Justice was ordered to be treated as criminal writ petition. The allegations in the said complaint were that husband of the applicant (Balwinder Kaur) was to be implicated in some serious case.

Since the petitioner remained un-represented, therefore, Mr. Balkaran Singh Aulakh was appointed as an Amicus Curiae, to represent her.

CRWP-1051-2014 Learned counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Sukhjeet Singh of Police Station, Dharamkot, District Moga, submits that the husband of the applicant/petitioner was arrested in a case arising out of FIR No. 186, dated 29.6.2014, for the offences punishable under Sections 15 and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station, Dharamkot, District Moga, and he was bailed out by the Court of competent jurisdiction on 26.9.2014. He further contends that after arrest of the husband of the applicant/petitioner in the NDPS case, the application in question was circulated before different authorities including the Secretariat of Hon'ble the Chief Justice of this Court.

He further contends that since Sukhwinder Singh (husband of the applicant/petitioner) was taken into legal custody and was later released on bail by the Court, therefore, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. Learned counsel for the petitioner also contends that in view of the statement suffered by the learned counsel for the State, the present petition has been rendered infructuous. Ordered accordingly.
