This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a direction upon the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents. A further direction has also been sought to be issued upon the official respondents to decide the representation dated 24.4.2026 (Annexure P-3) moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law and within a time bound manner.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed the representation dated 24.4.2026 (Annexure P-3) before respondent No. 2 raising his grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereupon. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if, appropriate directions are issued to the respondent concerned to consider and decide the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon. At the asking of the Court, Ms. Guramrit Kaur, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3-State and submits that the needful will be done in due course. Let a complete set of the paper-book be supplied to her during the course of the day. 5.
In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the representation (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner expeditiously and within a time bound manner, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.
