" Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record original deposit receipt whereby a sum of 45,000 has been deposited by way of 15% of the cheque amount to facilitate compounding of the offence.

compromised and the offence is compounded and the judgment of conviction is set aside, to which the petitioner convict Jagir Singh, who is also present in Court, has readily agreed and has prayed that leniency be shown to him and the matter be disposed off in those terms.
Heard Mr. Saravpreet Gurna, Advocate for the petitioner and Mr.Tanmoy Gupta, Advocate for the respondent. In view of the position of law laid down in %&'(&) #
)&*+,-#&./( &*&0&0! #112, since parties have effected compromise and settled their dispute, the courts are supposed to compound the offence to facilitate harmonious relationship and thus, in the light of this compromise, the offence is compounded and the judgment of conviction is set aside. The present revision petition stands disposed off in those terms.
