Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting anything as regards merits of the case as it appears that the parties have been litigating with respect to possession of land, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Jalandhar (Rural) to examine the alleged threat perception of the petitioners, who claim that the private respondents have been threatening to cause harm to them. In case, the threat perception is found to be genuine, then necessary steps be taken to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.

As far as prayer of the petitioners for issuance of directions for decision of representations Annexures P-12 to P-18 is concerned, respondent No.3PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.08.12 18:51 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-7570-2021 (O&M) Senior Superintendent of Police, District Jalandhar (Rural) is directed to ensure that the matter pertaining to FIR No.117 dated 20.7.2021 registered at Police Station Kartarpur, District Jalandhar (Rural), Punjab under Sections 447, 511, 427, 506 and 34 of Indian Penal Code is got investigated expeditiously in accordance with law, so that a final report is submitted thereafter at the earliest.

No direction is being issued in respect of FIR No.72 dated 10.5.2021 registered at Police Station Kartarpur under Sections 447, 511, 427 and 34 of Indian Penal Code as challan is stated to have already been presented in the instant case.

As far as the prayer of petitioners for lodging of FIR against the private respondents is concerned, the petitioners would be at liberty to approach the Trial Court and to move an application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., which shall be considered expeditiously in accordance with law. 5.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
