RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Matter has been taken up through video conferencing via Webex facility in the light of the Pandemic Covid-19 situation and as per instructions.
The prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life, limb and liberty of the petitioner and her family members from respondent Nos.4 and 5. Issue notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Ms.Rashmi Attri, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.
In view of the prayer made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab, to look into the representation, dated 10.08.2020, Annexure P-1, and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law and preferably within one month from today.
