The petitioner/husband Thakur Singh has impugned in this revision an order dated 30.04.2015 in application under Section 127 Cr.P.C. for enhancement of the maintenance passed by learned District Judge (Family Court), Barnala whereby the Court has allowed application of Manjit Kaur wife and granted maintenance to the tune of
4,000 per month and thus, modifying earlier orders dated 23.03.2004 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Barnala which has earlier fixed the maintenance to the tune of

Admittedly, it is the stand of the husband that he is employed as a Chowkidar in a Government job and is getting
24,000 per month and therefore, the fact that the wife is totally dependent upon the husband and has no independent source of income or property to maintain herself, and the settled law that the husband is supposed to maintain the wife commensurate with his status and having regard to the price index now<a<days, award of this allowance of
4,000 per month does not appears to be in any manner illegal or perverse. Rather there appears to be judicious application of the provisions of law which is for the advancement of justice and social upliftment and thus, there appears to be no cause to show indulgence. The revision petition stands dismissed in limine.
