Instant petition has been filed by grandmother of detenue, Gurdeep Singh c/o Sarabjeet Singh under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking appointment of Warrant Officer to search the premises of the respondents and to trace out the minor detenue, who is stated to be in illegal custody of respondent No.3.

Report dated 05.05.2025 of the warrant officer has been received. It has been mentioned therein that as per the directions to comply with order dated 02.05.2025 of this Court, Warrant Officer along with the petitioner and her associate visited Police Station Sohana on 02.05.2025 at 08.05 PM.

Detenue - Gurdeep Singh was found present there at the Police Station. Duty officer ASI Narinder Singh told that FIR No.111 dated 01.05.2025 under Sections 318(4)/316(2)/316(4)/61 of BNS, 2023 has been registered against the detenue and he has been produced before the Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Mohali and was on police remand.
