The present petition has been filed challenging the judgment dated 11.12.2015 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala vide which the appeal filed by the petitioner challenging the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 20.04.2015 passed by the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Patiala, in complaint No.1445 of 20.08.2013 filed by respondent No.2-Jajwinder Singh Sahni under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, was dismissed. Learned State Counsel has referred to the custody certificate dated 01.11.2019 and submitted that the petitioner has completed his entire sentence, after getting the benefit of remission and has been released from jail on 05.10.2016. He has further submitted that revision petition has, therefore, become infructuous.

CRR No.460 of 2016 {2} No one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. The petitioner was released from jail on 05.10.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner has continuously remained un-represented on 01.12.2016, 29.01.2019, 04.04.2019, 21.05.2019, 01.11.2019 and same is the position today. Even complainant-respondent No.2 remained un-represented on the same dates. Accordingly, the revision petition is dismissed for nonprosecution.
