A writ of mandamus is sought to direct the respondent/University to grant to him an additional increment on promotion/placement from Stage-I to Stage-II along with the accrued arrears, as per the UGC Regulations 2010, as the case of the petitioner falls within the four corners of the said regulations and even the said benefits have already been given to similarly situated employees vide order dated 12.06.2020.
