Through the instant petition, as filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners seek protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of the private respondent. 2.

On the last date of hearing, i.e. 28.05.2024, this Court had requisitioned a reply from the learned State counsel, which has accordingly been placed on record today by the latter, on affidavit of Dr. Jyoti Yadav, IPS, Superintendent of Police, District S.A.S Nagar. 3.

What emerges from a survey of the reply (supra) is that, although there exists no threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, yet the contact numbers of the S.H.O. and M.H.C., P.S. Dhakoli have been provided to the petitioners, thereby enabling them to intimate police officials/officers concerned, in case they perceive any threat or danger. 4.

In view of the disclosures made in the reply (supra), the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he does not want to press DEVINDER YADAV 2024.07.15 17:40 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-4962-2024 (O&M) the instant petition at this stage. However, he seeks liberty to re-access this Court, in case the petitioners perceive any threat to their lives and liberty in future.

Consequently, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn, however, with liberty (supra).
