NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) An application was received by post in the Secretariat of Hon'ble the Chief Justice and the same was ordered to be treated as a criminal writ petition (habeas corpus). Notice of motion was issued and in response thereto, learned counsel for the State has put in appearance. Mr. K.S. Pannu, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from SI Palwinder Singh of Police Station, Samalsar, District Moga, submits that the alleged detenu, Jaspal Singh, son of the applicant/petitioner, was required by the police in a case arising out of FIR No. 63, dated 28.10.2014, for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 324 and 452 read with PRASHANT KAPOOR 2015.02.05 18:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-1747-2014 Section 34, IPC, registered at Police Station, Samalsar, District Moga. He further submits that Jaspal Singh had surrendered before the police on 16.11.2014 and thereafter he was granted bail by the Court of competent jurisdiction on 24.12.2014 and, as such, there is no substance in the averments made in the application, treated to be criminal writ petition. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the State, there is no substance in the present petition. Dismissed.
