(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition in hand as the petitioner-Anil Mahajan stands acquitted vide judgment dated 07.01.2025 passed by JMIC, Jind. However, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that during the pendency of the petition in hand an amount of Rs.5 lakhs was deposited by the petitioner with the Registry of this Court to show his bonafide. It has been submitted that since the petitioner now stands acquitted by the concerned Court, the said amount ought to be released to the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the respondent has opposed the return of Rs.5 lakhs earlier deposited by the petitioner before the Registry of this Court.

It is further directed that Rs.5 lakhs which were deposited by the petitioner with the Registry of this Court by way of a demand draft be returned to the petitioner on due identification. Ordered accordingly.
