Prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for quashing the impugned order/award dated 27.11.2012 (Annexure P-1) passed by learned Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Patiala.

In pursuance of order dated 11.09.2023, learned counsel for the petitioner has brought a demand draft bearing No.897276, dated 10.10.2023 amounting to Rs.7,00,000/- in the name of Sanjeev Kumar (respondent No.1/workman), drawn on HDFC Bank and the same has been handed over to learned Senior counsel appearing for respondent No.1 in the Court today itself. A photocopy thereof is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. 3.
Learned Senior counsel for respondent No.1 submits that upon encashment of the said demand draft, all the claims of respondent No.1 against the petitioner shall stand settled except for the statutory claims in the HIMANI GUPTA 2023.10.17 12:28 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties and also the above statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
