(ORAL) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.97 dated 03.05.2024 under Sections 307, 326, 325, 324, 323, 341, 34 of the IPC registered at Police Station Navi Bardari, District Jalandhar.

On being put to notice, learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub Division Central, Commissionerate Jalandhar, which is taken on record. Learned State counsel, at the outset, while drawing the attention of this Court to paragraph 9 of the aforesaid affidavit, has submitted that the petitioner was not found to be involved in the occurrence in question and hence, it had been recommended that his name be deleted from the array of accused. In the circumstances, learned State counsel submits that he would not oppose the prayer made by the petitioner for being extended the concession of anticipatory bail. In the circumstances, it is directed that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer.
