This criminal writ petition has born out of letter purported to have been sent by petitioner Ranjeet Singh son of Kirpal Singh wherein the petitioner alleged that his son Jorawar Singh (also referred as Jorawar Singh Ranjeet Singh) aged 23 years working as Liftman in a private company at Mumbai and was living with Bhupinder Singh husband of real sister of the wife of the petitioner as they worked together had gone missing. Criminal Writ Petition No. 1009 of 2015 -2telephoned him that he was leaving by train to Amritsar regarding which above said Bhupinder Singh also confirmed but inspite of one week having passed, his son has neither returned nor any phone call was made by him and thus apprehended that somebody was instrumental in his disappearance.

The stand of the State by way of Annexure R-1/T shows that the petitioner had made this arrangement before the Panchayat and has admitted that Jorawar Singh Ranjeet Singh son of the petitioner has married Kuldeep Kaur which is evident from the intimation received from the above said couple annexed with this affidavit as well as declaration of marriage between Jorawar Singh Ranjeet Singh and Kuldeep Kaur, the latter is also residing at Mumbai and have got married at Shri Vishweshwar Mandir, Nirmal Nagar, Bandra (E), Mumbai as per Hindu Vedic Rites and Customs. In the light of the copy of the declaration of marriage submitted by the couple along with their photographs and which marriage took place on 2.7.

2015, the contention of learned State counsel that it is a case of run away couple and that there is nothing bonafide and truthful in the petition, impels this Court to dismiss the present petition. Since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, if any such eventuality arises, the petitioner shall be at liberty to invoke the jurisdiction of this Court on the same very grounds.
