The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.213, dated 30.7.2020 at Police Station City Patti, District Tarn Taran under Sections 380 and 454 of Indian Penal Code, wherein offence under Section 411 IPC was added later on.

The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the FIR in question came to be lodged on account of a matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and his wife and her family members, which has now been resolved and that infact a petition i.e. CRM-M-27493 of 2020 for quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise has already been filed, wherein notice of motion has been issued.

Although the learned State counsel has feigned ignorance about the compromise but has stated that the recovery has already been effected. 4.

Keeping in view the specific statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as regards the compromise amongst the parties, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner behind bars any longer.
