The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to fix the pay of the petitioner @ Rs.42,600/- per month with effect from 01.10.2022 as he is admittedly working in the department as Guest Faculty (Punjabi) since 22.08.2011, as per notification dated 15.09.2022 (Annexure P-3) and also grant arrear on the basis of enhanced salary with 18% penal interest along with all consequential benefits, and also grant salary from November, 2021 to April 2022, which has not been granted to him. 2.

After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to first approach the competent authority for redressal of his grievances. 3.
