The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release the family pension to the petitioner after the death of her husband.

Learned counsel would submit that the family pension to the petitioner after the death of her husband on 11.06.2017, has not been released and now all formalities have been completed and in this regard, a recommendation letter has been sent from respondent No.3-Chief Agriculture Officer, Sangrur to respondent No.2-The Accountant General (A&E), Punjab on 23.04.2024. However, no decision has been taken thereon. He, on instructions, submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, in case a time bound direction is given to the respondents to consider her claim. 3.
