NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of a writ, order or direction to the respondent Nos. 2 to 5 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of the respondents No. 6 and 7.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Paramjit Singh, Police Station Ghardiwala Hoshiarpur, submits that in the present case the petitioner is the only accused; challan has been presented in the matter on 22.01.2024; charges have been framed on 20.02.2024 and out of eight witnesses, one witness has already been examined. It is stated that the next date of hearing before the learned trial Court concerned is 19.04.2024.
