ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) In compliance of the order dated 13.01.2023, the affidavit of the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, dated 05.05.2023 has been filed in the Court, which is taken on record, according to which afresh order has been passed. It is stated that the petitioner is promoted as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) w.e.f. 01.04.2010 on notional basis and is given the seniority of ASI (District Police) at Serial No.1197-A. It is also stated that the officials, who were promoted as ASI w.e.f. 01.04.2010 have been further promoted as SubInspector w.e.f. 23.11.2020, however, the petitioner was not found eligible as he has retired from the service on 03.08.2015 i.e. prior to the date when the other ASIs were promoted subsequently on 23.11.2020. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
