(Oral) Counsel for the petitioner submits that in an earlier petition i.e. CRM-M No.40429 of 2017, vide order dated 27.10.2017, a direction has already been issued to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar to consider the representation dated 11.10.2017 and take adequate steps in accordance with law, if necessary, to protect his life and liberty.

In view of same, no fresh direction is required to be passed in the present case.
