The instant petition in the nature of habeas corpus has been filed by petitioner Bhupinder Kumar for release of detenue Saveena from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 6. Notice of motion was issued and learned State counsel was directed to get the matter inquired through concerned SHO and to furnish the report.

Today, reply by way of affidavit of Amneet Kondal, IPS Assistant Commissioner of Police, North Jalandhar, has been filed. Same is taken on record. Copy has been supplied. Heard.

Detenue Saveena, is present in person in this Court. On being questioned by this Court to its satisfaction, detenue Saveena has stated that she is residing with her parents voluntarily at her own wish and there is no threat to her life. She further states that she wants to live with her parents.

In view of above statement of detenue Saveena, no further action is required to be taken by this Court in this matter and, therefore, the instant petition is dismissed.
